I hope this is my pre fall 09. Vera Wang.
I hope this is my pre fall 09. Vera Wang.
When people tell me I look like Babs I get a bit offended..if they are thinking of this photo..I could take it..

For this cute store to open. Pas de Deux, a sister store to Odin in the East Village recently opened and I can’t wait to check it out. The super star designer line-up includes Rag and Bone, Alexander Wang, Clu, Loeffler Randall shoes, Coming Soon by Yohji, and Phillip Lim. More TK when I actually go!
Remember this post? Well it is a thing of the past. Mayle is no longer. Fall 2008 was her last collection. Now I just need to get my hands on a piece before its gone forever…
The past week me and some co-workers gather around the computer screen, set the tone music (dj kiki kang aka jenny kills it) anticipating each show as they are posted on style.com or elle.com. All have been pretty amazing! Lagerfeld kept things his way..all the looks were feminine tuxedo style just as he would do it. And Dries did grids in all the right directions. I loved Comme Des Garcons, Anne Demeulemeester
was incredibly cool and more wearable than ever. And Stella layered the neutrals in a sleek and chic manor. But Giambattista Valli took the cake! I love love loved the collection..bows, blousons, and balloon silhouettes! He seems to be setting a stage for himself..
Milan Fashion Week is now over and everyday I’ve been popping on style.com to watch the shows and then check out detailed pics of accessories, styling, make up, and hair. Marni showed yesterday and of course is amaze! I love the simplicity as always but this season the polka dot print/cut outs and shear fabrics added an extra bop to the collection!

New York Fashion week has been over for a week now and I am finally getting back to normal and having a free minute to blog about it! Sadly, something is wrong with my camera or preview in my computer and I can’t get my pics to upload! But oh well, this is where style.com comes in handy! All the events and shows were really fun and exciting! Some shows were total hits and others were total misses. Here are some highlights…
United Bamboo..This was one of my favs! I could were the entire collection! I loved the bow details, the baggy pants, and the sheath dresses..
Y-3 was a highlight show for me! I love the simplicity and small details that make the dress or even track jacket in this case. I thought the whimsical dresses paired with sneakers was totlaly innovative and I loved the big wispy hair!
Zac Posen was a privilege! I was a bit starstruck..Claire Danes, Marisa Tomei, Leighton Meester, and Rachel Zoe..all packed in a room. And the collection was embellishment and pastel filled!

Betsey was a riot like usual! Crazy show..crazy collection. It was so much fun! Brides with handcuffs, cupcakes for front rowers, and Betsey doing cartwheels of course.
Adam..made me want gummies! I loved the young, but tailored vibe. Greys took over the color palette and then splashes of bright gumball like dresses!
Miss 60 was fun, a lot of energy and very well styled. The fact that I thought I could possibly wear something Miss 60 says something..
Tracy Reese was beautifully as you expect. Embellishments, embroidered flowers, and pastel colors.. the makeup was also the best I’ve seen!
My fav shows (and just cool shows I attended) tk…
Must have these for Fall!!!! Check out here.
from the resort 2009 collections but I would love a few Thakoon pieces…ie this jumper. Kinda dying over it!

about Comme des Garcons and H&M, I had to dissect. Luckily, Jenny, our Associate Fashion Editor, had a lookbook on CD-Rom. The collection really is amazing and totally keeps the integrity of Comme Des Garcons and Rei Kawakubo. So here are a few fav looks from Lucky…
Jenny..the shorts. So cute and comfortable. She pulls off bagginess so well with her petite figure!

Christina..the tuxedo jacket. I can just see her in the tuxedo jacket and a pleated skirt..adorable. Ray LOVES the saggy crotch pants, she can wear them well, maybe with a slouchy tank and Opening Ceremony lavender wingtip boots.

Becky..the polka dot pants…haha. I love it! She is one of few people that can wear these and look fashionable..not like she is wearing pajamas. (sorry..no full look for these..)

Me..the pleated skirt. I am always a sucker for a pleated skirt, but I love the artistic edge and subtle distinctness.

The amazingness hits US Stores on November 13th.

Why am I the last to know, of all the people with love and commitment to Comme des Garcons, that they are teaming up with H&M for a line this fall????? I am so excited!! Read on Wmagazine.com

JK. But I wish I did. LaGarconne.com just added some new pieces that are AMAZING. I love it and wish it was 1/2 the price.
